Tropical Paradise

A tropical butterfly house based on a tropical island edge theme.

If you can imagine yourself transferred (mentally) to 'an area of turquoise blue sea's gently lapping at an ivory white sandy beach while the tranquil sounds of bird song echoes from the palms surrounding you. You are sat relaxing with a cool soothing drink while your children are safely playing in the sand and sea'.

You can walk around the meandering pathways safe in the knowledge that your children are safe in the sand and water play area. On your walk you will be amazed at the bewildering amount of butterflies gently dancing around you and at the colours and serene qualities of the birds and fish at such close quarters.

This concept is created with fully disabled pathways discretely winding through a large area of tropical plants. Two ponds linked together, with a system of streams, and a waterfall, add to the tropical feel. A cave built from local natural stone offers an unusual view of Alligator snapping turtles and common snapping turtles. A large paved area with locally produced tables and chairs offers seating for 40 people linking directly to our existing tearooms.

Reptile handling sessions run at weekends and holidays. See if you dare hold a snake or touch a lizard!
